The Raspberry Pi is a small (credit card sized), extremely cheap personal computer. You can read my review of it here. Since I’ve gotten my first one, I’ve been working on all sorts of projects using it. Currently I have 17 units deployed as a MicroSupercomputer in my dorm room, 1 unit mounted behind a 40″ flatscreen at home to display the shared family calendar and act as server for AIrPrint & Google Cloud Print, and 1 unit in my dorm room acting as print server so that my roommate and I can both print to my printer.
Here’s what I’ve done and documented with the Pi:
