I’m Rohan Kapoor. I’m a Freshman student studying Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. From a very young age, I’ve been into computers and electronic gadgets: learning how they work so that I can build my own “toys.”
I am familiar with several programming languages including html, css, php, java, c#, python. I’ve done a little bit of work with c++ as well and learned just enough MySQL to get by.
In my high school days I worked as a part time web developer to increase my own skill set. I currently own and operate several different websites. I’ve worked with WordPress, WordPress MU, BuddyPress, bbPress, & Simple:Press.
I’m very active in the Livescribe Smartpen Development community. You can view all of my work with Livescribe’s Smartpens on my Livescribe page. All of my projects listed on that page are freely downloadable. I also do custom Livescribe Development. Contact me for a quote.
I have begun working with the Raspberry Pi $35 computer and have written up a tutorial on “Americanizing” it. Completed Raspberry Pi projects are listed on my Raspberry Pi page though there are still other projects that are still a work in progress.
I participated in Facebook’s 2012 Midwest Regional Hackathon (Hosted at UIUC) and wrote about my experiences here and will be participating in the MHacks Midwest Hackathon (Hosted at U-Michigan).
I co-developed the Illini Ticket Exchange as a CS125 Honors Project.
I’m currently working on refactoring my Template Overlay Tool to better organize the code base in preparation of porting it to python or java to make it cross-platform.
If you’d like to know if I can work with you on your project or want to request a quote you can contact me. Thanks for viewing my website!
