I’ve already released 4 50 page notepads of lined notepads for Livescribe. Download: https://rohankapoor.com/projects/livescribe/lined-notepads-1-4/ . This gives a total of 200 unique printable usable pages before one has to archive to use them again. I’ve had several requests from people for more lined notepads. I have considered making them for my own use as well. I decided it would be best to take a public poll and see how many people actually would find additional lined notepads useful. If more people want them than not, I will be quite happy to create and license another 2 for now. If/when more are needed, they can be added as well. I have my original templates for the lined notepads so with a few modifications to the vector graphics files and a new paper project with the SDK, it will be fairly simple to generate the needed notepads.
My other projects for the Livescribe Smartpens are available here.
Thanks for sharing your opinion!

Rohan,
could you point me to any info on custom paper with LD for mac OSX? I have read many of your posts on the official LS forums in the last couple of weeks, and the availability of your work was one of the things that made me feel confident buying the Echo pen in the end as I really would miss graph paper and your extra notepads! Now I just want to get away from running LD in a virtual machine just for custom paper…..help appreciated! thanks ๐
Allun,
I have no Mac machine to try it out myself on but I have discussed it extensively with several people including several of Livescribe’s core developers. From what we can tell, all of my custom notepads (including the graphpads) and most of other people’s custom notepads (if they are made the same way as mine) are usable with Livescribe Desktop on Mac OSX. I know Kass Lloyd has done some extensive testing with his own and my notepads and found good results. The only problem that you may have is deploying the actual notepads to the smartpen but you can use your virtual machine to do that I believe. These instructions will deploy the custom paper: https://rohankapoor.com/projects/livescribe/instru…. I will specifically point you to the comments by Andrew (bemental) who said that after he deployed using those instructions on Windows, he was able to sync seamlessly with Livescribe Desktop on Mac OSX as well. That link is: https://rohankapoor.com/projects/livescribe/instru…
I think between those two links you should have no problems deploying the custom paper. Once it’s deployed, there appear to be no problems syncing with Livescribe Desktop on Mac OSX. From your comment, I believe that you have already deployed the custom paper. In that case, I would recommend that you try syncing with Livescribe Desktop and I would be surprised if it didn’t work.
In either case, please let me know your results.
Thank you for your help Rohan, I will try all of this on the weekend and certainly will post results or anything that may help others here.
I do have access to real mac and windows machines, as well as a VM windows machine on my mac (for convenience) but have not deployed any custom paper yet.
The current problem is PRINTING the custom paper, I am well-read on all of that and just need to get some test printing done on printers I have access to ๐
No problem Allun. I look forward to seeing your results. With both the mac and the pc you should have no issues deploying the paper and should be able to test it out fairly quickly.Printing isnโt as big a deal as Livescribe makes it out to be. In my experience (using the PDF files that I generate) any laser printer with 600dpi printing is fine. It simply uses adobe reader (or equivalent) to rasterize the graphics before printing them.
Rohan – everything worked fine to deploy, thanks! I just deployed from my VM and the syncing works fine in OSX ๐
Good to know Allun! Glad that everything worked out for you. Thanks for letting me know.
Hi, i´m looking for Music staff how can i do that??
Music staff is indefinitely on hold due to Livescribe closing their Development Program. See this post for further details: https://rohankapoor.com/2012/01/livescribe-we-want…
Hello, I am new to developing in livescribe and was wondering if you would be willing to produce a basic tutorial about how to take an EPS image and turn it into custom paper for a notebook. All of the examples seem to be more complex than that or are based on other files that seem to create all kinds of additional complication. I have posted this question in the livescribe forum, but you seem to be the most active member so I thought I would try to post to your site directly. I would even be willing to pay something for a good step by step document of how to do this.
Thanks,
Nick
